Introduction

This is a chance to run over the Runcorn Bridge. The race is early on Easter Sunday morning, starting at Runcorn Main Line Railway station. The course goes over the bridge and runs to Hale Village 5 miles towards Liverpool. From the finish at Hale competitors are bussed back to the start at Runcorn Railway Station. This is a popular race with in excess of 700 runners.

It is always held on Easter Sunday.

This race has been discontinued due to the new bridge being built and both bridges being Tolled.

There was a big field running the annual Run the Runcorn Bridge race, including several comic book heros! Despite the chilly start, Martin produced a PB, Keith ran his best 5M since records started and there were fine debuts by Fleur and Donna. Well done to Fleur who was first in her age category.
