This tough race lived up to its reputation on a cold November's morning.

The Beacon Fell cross country race was the 5th in the NWCCL league series and is considered one of the tougher courses.
Six members braved the chilly conditions to run this race,
and as is evident from the photo below, there was a lot of mud but this should not detract from what was an excellent and well organised race.
There were even free refreshments afterwards.

2013
It was a glorious day for running with views from the start as far as the Welsh mountains and Winter Hill. After a minutes silence in remembrance of those who have fallen in wars, the runners were treated to a tough and muddy course, Russ and Martin were forced to pull out but Louise managed to complete her first cross country race - what a baptism!

2012
The Cross Country at Beacon Fell lived up to its repuation with plenty of mud and some steep and difficult ascents/decents. A few members took tumbles on the way round but all made it back safely.
